The Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) is auctioning 12 toll road projects along 669 kilometers with an investment of Rp242 trillion in 2020.
Director General of Construction of the Ministry of Public Works PUPR Trisasongko Widianto said a number of toll roads that were ready to be auctioned included Gedebage-Tasikmalaya-Cilacap, Patimban Access Roads, Yogyakarya-Bawen, Solo-Yogyakarta-Kulonprogo Airport or New Yogyakarta International Airport (NYIA), and Harbor Toll Road Semarang.
“Toll roads that are ready to be auctioned in 2020 are 12 roads, 669 kilometers long with an estimated investment cost of Rp242 trillion,” Trisasongko said in an online seminar held by the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Kadin) in Jakarta, Wednesday, June 17, 2020.
12 Toll Roads Projects
This year the government is auctioning 12 toll roads along 668.6 km worth a total of Rp 241.88 trillion. The 12 toll roads which was auctioned this year consisted of the Solo-Yogyakarta-NYIA 93.2 km toll road, YogyakartaBawen 76.4 km, Balikpapan-Panajam Paser Utara is 7.9 km, Gedebage-Tasikmalaya-Cilacap 206.6 km, and KamalTeluk-NagaRajeg 39.2 km. Other toll roads are Patimban Access 37.7 km, Bogor-Serpong via Parung 31.2 km, Sentul Selatan-Karawang Barat 61.5 km, Semanan-Balaraja 32.4 km, Harbor Toll Road Semarang 21.0 km, Cikunir Karawaci 40.0 km, and Cikunir-Ulujami 21.5 km.
Nine other toll projects have been prepared and will soon enter tender prequalification in June-July 2020. Besides tolls, the PUPR Ministry also plans to auction multi-lane free flow (MLFF) non-cash toll transaction systems in the toll road sector.
Meanwhile, Trisasongko revealed that the government will inaugurate 15 toll roads this year. Five toll roads will be inaugurated in June-July 2020.
“Toll roads that are ready to be inaugurated in 2020 are 15 sections along 297 kilometers,” he said.
Five of the 15 toll roads are ready to be inaugurated in June-July this year. The five toll roads are Banda Aceh Section IV Indrapuri-Blangbintang along 14 kilometers, Pekanbaru-Kandis-Dumai Section I-VI along 131 kilometers, Depok-Antasari Section II along 6 kilometers.
Then, the Cimanggis-Cibitung Section IA toll road stretches for 3 kilometers. Finally, the Manado-Bitung toll road sections I and Section IIA are 21 kilometers long.
