The Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) plans to auction 10 toll road projects in June and July 2020. PUPR Minister Basuki Hadimuljono said one of the projects being auctioned was the 76 kilometer Kulon Progo-Jogja Toll Road.

“This bidding process has begun and on June 4, the bidding process will begin, the easy-to-buy around September-October 2020 can start construction,” he said on Tuesday (2/6).

There are also the Cileunyi-Garut-Tasikmalaya or Cigatas Toll Road projects, Patimban Access Road, Bogor-Serpong via Parung, Sentul Selatan-West Karawang, Semarang Harbor, Semanan-Balaraja, Cikunir-Karawaci Toll Road, and Cikunir-Ulujami Flyway.

He said the auction process for the nine toll road projects had been prepared and immediately entered the prequalification auction in June – July 2020. In addition to the toll road project, Basuki also said that the Ministry of PUPR also plans to auction off multi-lane free flow (MLFF) non-cash toll transaction systems in the toll road sector.

Previously the Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) said four toll roads were ready to operate by the end of June 2020 in order to support national economic recovery.

The four toll roads to be operated are part of the National Strategic Project (PSN). The toll roads are section 14-kilometer Banda Aceh-Sigli, Pekanbaru-Dumai along 131 kilometers, Manado-Kauditan 21 km as part of the Manado-Bitung toll road, and sections 1 and 5 of the Balikpapan-Samarinda (Balsam) toll road sections 1 and 5 along 33 km .
