Temporary Stay Permit (KITAS) is an immigration status or permit issued to foreigners willing to stay in Indonesia territory for certain period of time (commonly valid for 6 or 12 months) and can be extended if required. The length of validity will be approved by the Ministry of Manpower in accordance to job title.

With this visa, a foreigner may actively work and generate an income in Indonesia. This visa will need to be sponsored by an eligible company who has obtained the permit of employing a foreigner (IMTA). This kind of visa is highly recommended if you are employed within Indonesia.

Temporary Stay Permit (KITAS) can be issued to the following on the list:
1. Foreign Investors (The Company Owners)
2. Foreigners working in Indonesia as Experts
3. Foreigners legally married to Indonesian citizen
4. Children of Foreigners legally married to Indonesian citizen
5. Foreign Researcher
6. Dependents (wife and children) of Temporary Stay Permit (KITAS) holder
7. Child of Temporary Stay Permit (KITAS) holder born in Indonesian territory
8. Retired Foreign Citizens

Bizindo’s Scope of Service

  • Preparing, signing and filing correspondence and documents or other papers which are necessary for processing
  • Submitting the applications for work and stay permits through the authorized Government agencies
  • Process update to client

Time frame

The processing time is approximately 60 days, alternatively the Express service is also available which is approximately 40 days.

Professional Service Rate

Client will be charged for the professional service as follows:
– Stay & Work Permit (KITAS & IMTA) : Rp 6,000,000 or US$ 500 (Normal Rate)
– Dependent KITAS (family) : Rp 6,000,000 or US$ 500 (Normal Rate)

*Service fee is payable upon receipt of required documentation
* The fee is not including the following expenses:

  1. Service tax 2% (company payment)
  2. Airfare, other transportation and Telex Visa collection assistance at the Indonesian Embassy overseas
  3. Fees of immigration clearance service on arrival
  4. Mandatory Skill Development Fund (DPKK) in amount of US$ 100/month/expat. Total amount is based on the approval length of permit
  5. Multiple Exit Re-entry Permit (1 year) : Rp 3,000,000. If period of 6 months: Rp 2,100,000. For restricted countries, there will be additional charge.

  6. Multiple Exit Re-entry Permit (MREP)
  7. Police Report Certificate (STM)
  8. Residential Permit Card (SKTT)
  9. Expatriate Residence Report (LK)

Require Documents (scan color)

  1. Curriculum Vitae (CV) of the expatriate
  2. Certificate of degree graduated
  3. Expatriate passport with minimum 4 blank pages still available with minimum 18 (eighteen) months validity and scanned copy of identification page and cover
  4. Photograph of expatriate, size 4 cm x 6 cm: 2 piece, red background, format .jpeg
  5. Domicile Letter of the expatriate in Indonesia (Surat Keterangan Tempat Tinggal) from the sub-district (Kantor Kelurahan); or Letter of Domicile from the Building Management or house/apartment rental Agreement Letter – signed by the house/apartment owner
  6. Legality of the company sponsor in Indonesia (as seen in list of required documents)

Additional documents for those who bring the family
1. Marriage Certificate (in English)
2. Birth Certificate (in English) for children

List of Required Documents of Sponsor Company (scan color)

  1. Company’s deed of establishment and its amendments (if any)
  2. Approval from Ministry of Law and Human Rights (MoLHR) of sponsor company / SK Kehakiman Pendirian Perusahaan dan Perubahannya (if any)
  3. Tax Registration Number (NPWP) of sponsor company
  4. Certificate of Domicile (SKDU) of sponsor company
  5. Business License (SIUP) / Principle License (Izin Prinsip/IP) / Permanent Business License (Izin Usaha Tetap/IUT) of sponsor company of BKPM
  6. Certificate Company Registration (TDP) of sponsor company
  7. ID card (KTP) and Family Register (KK) of the Indonesian Director of sponsor company as Guarantor
  8. Blank papers with the company’s letterhead (for application letters)
  9. Mandatory Manpower Report (Wajib Lapor Keberadaan/WLK) of sponsor company
  10. Employment contract between sponsor company and the expatriate
  11. ID card/KTP of the Indonesian counterpart
  12. Appointment letter between company and the Indonesian counterpart
  13. Company’s bank account information or statement – balance minimum US$ 1,500
