Every construction company in Indonesia must have a classification and sub-classification of business acquired through the process of certification and registration to obtain the Business Entity Certificate (SBU) issued by Indonesia’s Construction Services Development Institute (LPJK). 

1. Construction Contractor & Integrated Construction (EPC)

There are different types of construction contractors, ranging from small maintenance to large construction. The type of construction contractors are divided into two (2) types depending upon the business scope of the company. These construction companies can be engaged into general contracting or sub-contracting. 

The classification of construction contractors in Indonesia consists of buildings construction, civil construction, mechanical and electrical installation, specialty construction, other construction work and integrated construction services (EPC).
